Even after 1 period

The rangers scored first on the 21st goal of the season for Chris Drury. Drury had a very strong first period with 3 or 4 very tough shots, three of them handcuffing price, the other being a perfect shot over price's shoulder to give the rangers a 1-0 lead. The goal was setup by Ryan Callahan and a great forecheck effort. Callahan now has 12 points (6 g, 6 a) last 13 games. (Before the game, Torts said he thinks Callahan will be a 35 goal scorer next year, that would be nice)

Montreal answered a few minutes later just after their power play had ended with a backhanded shot in traffic that went in off the post. (Doobie took a very stupid penalty hitting a canadian from behind into the boards, right infront of the line judge)

Other than an avery rocket over price's shoulder that went off the post, and drury's great shot, the rangers barely tested price, with most of their shots coming from angles and from distance. The first period edge in play had to go to Montreal, but I doubt they will have the legs to keep it up in the second and third.

Tied at 1, after 1. (Flyers and Panthers tied 0-0 after 1 in philly. Jeff Carter had a wide open net for Philly but was unable to score when his stick was broken on a slash)
