Rangers hang on to 1 goal lead thru 2

20 minutes away from a commanding 2-0 lead, but the rangers have a big challenge ahead of them.

After getting the first four power play's of the game (each one worse than the one that proceeded it), Washington got two in the final 5 minutes of the period. The first one, a terrible call on Rozsival for hooking. It was very tick tacky, but the refs owed the Caps one, possibly two, for an awful hooking call they made to benefit the rangers 5 minutes prior.

The rangers had their best period of the series so far, outshooting Washington 10-6. Now a lot of that had to do with the three power plays the rangers got, allowing them to kill 6 minutes of potential offense from Washington (and also forcing ovechkin to the bench). But the one thing the rangers have done well all game. They have been the more physical team, and they have maintained a 50% ratio on faceoffs. The rangers forwards are doing a great job backchecking, providing help infront of Hank. There is almost no offensive pressure from the rangers though, this one goal might have to stand up (that's not good)

Caps start third with a minute of power play time. Rangers 20 minutes from 2-0.
