Let me rephrase that. RANGERS IN THE PLAYOFFS! YES!
(and a big Thanks to Nugman for holding down the fort so brilliantly in my absence)
A few weeks ago it looks pretty bad - we were in 9th place and everyone else was on a winning streak. But our heroes righted the ship - and found just enough offense (and Hank, of course) to pull it out at the end.
So tonight we have our final round of regular season out-of-town-scoreboard watching. Montreal is tied 1-1 with the Aquatic Birds. If they lose in regulation, the Rangers clinch 7th place regardless of what happens in Philly tomorrow. In that case I'd guess they rest MVP Lundqvist for the playoffs.
The real question is if the Habs win or force OT. In that case, the Rangers will need some points to hold 7th place. In that case do we rest Hank? He's had a very heavy load - carrying the team into the playoffs and almost single-handedly turning back the Flyers on Thursday.

There are plenty of ways to look at this. Do we want to play the Bruins or Caps in round 1? Remember that the last 2 times Tortorelli rested Henrik - the Rangers lost.
But the easiest and best way for this to work out is - have those Crosby-Birds beat Montreal tonight.
And I'm squinting at my pirated game feed right now rooting for that to happen. One more time for the Magic Rat to work his magic.
