Gilroy plays defense, trying to figure out who he is replacing on next year's squad. I know the rangers like Morris, and Roszival and Redden aren't going anywhere as we all know far too well. Girardi and Staal aren't being broken up. So I guess this is insurance for potentially losing Mara or Morris to free agency this offseason? Or just adding depth at hartford.
