It's 3-2 heading to the third period. The rangers have a huge mental lapse. Staal didn't put a body on Kozlov, he skated right to the front of the net, found a loose puck and slapped it past Hank. Staal HAS to learn to play 60 minutes, we can't give up a last minute goal. We were 60 seconds from heading to the third with a 2 goal lead, all the momentum, and a young Capitals team beginning to doubt themselves infront of a quiet home crowd. That was an enormous last minute goal.
It's 3-2 heading to the third, Rangers just 20 minutes from stealing game 1. The first 5 minutes are key. Have to find a way to get that two goal lead back, and stop the strong push from the Capitals.
