It Has Awoken

Hard to know what to say. The Caps were one of the best teams in Hockey even when they got mediocre goal tending from "3 or more" Theodore. Now, with the way this Rookie Varlamov is playing they look like the best team in hockey.

But we still hold the 2-1 series lead.

It's going to take everything we've got on Wednesday to keep Washington from tying the series.

We've been shut out by this kid for something like 112 minutes now - almost 2 full games.

Rest assured - The Monster is awake - the series is on - and we're in for the fight of our lives.

It all starts with goals. We have to score.

Or to put in another way - we were 0-5 on the PP. Even 2-5 and this would have been a very different hockey game.

Still no goals for the Vortex though - there's something in that.

And the Rangers best offensive play of the night? Sean Avery's no-look punch of Varlamov. (pictured above)

Not much else to say - we got our butts kicked - we have to regroup.
