2-2 After One

Well, it turns out Lundqvist asked to play - to keep sharp and Tortorella started him in goal.

The Rangers scored a power play goal and a short handed goal (the first the Flyers let up this year!) - both by Dubinski. Rangers outshot 14 to 11. Considering we're on the road and how much the game means to Philly - it's kind of cool how we're hanging with them.

  1. Let's say you were only allowed to watch 3-4 rangers games all season. And you chose to watch the opening weekend in europe, and then the final weekend here in philly. If you only saw those games, and nothing in between, would you be under the impression dubinsky scored 40 goals this season and possibly garnered a few mvp votes?

First two games of the season Doobie was a man child, and to say he was anything other than "bad" from then until today would only be acceptable if your last name was Dubinsky. Now in the final game of the season, he plays the best hockey he has played since...the first game of the season? Crazy.

  2. Maybe Torts got through to him. Or maybe just a statistical oddity. Like Plax in the Superbowl. He only caught 2 passes - on the Giant's first and last offensive plays.
