Kick to the Nuts

Rangers badly out work the Caps on the boards, setting up a rush by naslund. Naslund throws a tough backhander on Varlamov and he saves it but allows a rebound that kicks right to Callahan. Callahan has a WIDE OPEN NET and slides the puck into the POST! The puck bounces out, the Caps bring it back down the ice, and Ovechkin slides a pass to Semin right infront of Hank and Semin buries it. Rangers are down 2-0 early. Just inches away from tying it, and instead now their largest deficit of the series.

Rangers again getting badly out shot, but the difference tonight is the Caps appear to also be out hitting, or playing equally tough to the Rangers. The rangers haven't played bad, just a tough miss for Callahan and....the caps are just out playing them.
