A tough loss for the Rangers. One where Washington picked up their play big time. They were more physical, they pressed the issue all game, they got some favorable calls, and put FORTY shots on Hank.
The Rangers won't be seeing Theodore again I don't think, as Varlamov picks up a shutout and hasn't allowed a goal to the rangers in 112 minutes and 16 seconds!
Tom Poti scored the final goal of the game, getting the crowd to stop chanting "These refs suck", and changing to "Poti sucks".
No one said it was going to be easy. Rangers gotta come out and defend the home ice in game 4, and take back control of this series.
Tough game, they got beat by the better team tonight. Just remember they led Jersey 2-0 last year, came home and lost game 3, then responded and won game 4, and then 5 on the road. Gotta do the same thing again.

I'm not sure the Caps will ever be seeing Theodore again for that matter - it looks like their number one goalie has changed in a short span of time.
