Callahan SCORES! 1-0 Rangers

Almost 8 minutes into the first period I was about to write a post about how the Rangers haven't gotten a SINGLE legit shot on goal, not ONE. The caps have controlled the puck like they did in game one, and all the rangers have been able to do is dump it deep in Washington's zone.

As I was about to post that, Naslund broke in with Callahan on a 2 on 1, drew the defender, and threw a beautiful cross ice pass to callahan who roofed it over Varlamov's shoulder for a 1-0 rangers lead. Just the second shot Varlamov has seen (but the other was one shot in from 40 feet OFF THE BOARDS that he covered up).

SHOOT THE PUCK!

Caps take a penalty in the offensive zone, Rangers going on the power play midway thru the first!
