Today we ROOT

In less then an hour we have another MONSTER game to root for.

Our relentless pursuers, the Florida Panthers, host the aquatic birds at 5pm. Florida is in 9th, trailing us by just 2 points with a game at hand.

It is becoming increasing clear that the Rangers and Panthers will be the 8th and 9th teams in the East. One will advance to the NHL playoffs and the other's season will end.

What we need today is for the Panthers to lose today's game. In regulation.

So, since the worked last time, I'm invoking the Magic Rat - my lucky Jean Ratelle trading card. Help us out again people - reach out and touch the card on your screen and invoke the power of the Hockey Gods.

And, just for one day, try to love Sidney Crosby and company. Or at least, for the next few hours.
