Hurricanes Do Not Blow

The Rangers have a tough road ahead of them, just 2 points up on the 9th place Panthers with 5 to play. We've got to keep winning if we want to make the post season.

Tonight it could get ugly - as the Rangers travel to the Hockey Town of Raleigh, North Carolina to play the Hurricanes. The 'canes, who won the cup on 2006, have won 9 straight home games and 6 straight overall.

The Rangers trail the 'canes by just 2 points - but Carolina closes out the season with 4 home games and a trip to Newark. So they will be very hard to catch.

Back on March 9th Cam Ward shut us out 3-0. He actually has a slightly better save percentage this year than Hank (who is coming off a shut out of his own).

It points to a low scoring game - and speaking of points, the Rangers desperately need to come away with some tonight.

(Also - if the 'slanders could remember to show up to play Montreal tonight - I'd really appreciate it.)

Circle the wagons, men, this is it. 5 games. 5 games, and then the rest of our lives.
