The Magic Rat Tries Again

As Nugs pointed out earlier - The Magic Rat did not do well last night as he rooted against the Habs and Panthers - and he's not likely to fare better tonight.

To try again to evoke the Hockey Gods - we are invoking the image of the original Magic Rat himself - Jean Ratelle - one of the all time great Rangers and the center for the line that played together more seasons than any other line in history. (That was of course the GAG line (GAG stood for Goal A Game).

Anyway - with no Ranger game tonight to sustain us, our Magic Rat turns again to the scoreboard and asks for some more help this evening.

Devils over Penguins. We need Newark to shape up and play some hockey - particularly against the evil Penguins who teamed up with the Refs to defeat us 4-3 last week - with those 2 points being exactly how much we now trail them by. Usually the Devils lose on purpose when it hurts the Rangers - but they've been bad for so many games now I think they will actually do their best tonight to turn it around.

Leafs over Flyers. Toronto just got eliminated - which means they can take out their frustrations on the playoff bound Fly-boys. At least that's what we're hoping. It's also possible they will not even bother to show up for the game.

So root, Rat, root (and no NOOT).
